Following our ten-day trip in Croatia, we were diving in the Dubrovnik area for 5 days. We had the pleasure of meeting and visiting Duro Capor, an excellent person who received us very well. Its collection has some interesting Adriatic sea species and also some endemic local snails, I liked especially Clausiliidae family.
Small boxes with interesting small species that Duro found diving in shellgrift.
A nice display with some big shells from Mediterranean Sea.
A nice selection of Haliotis tuberculata with beautiful color patterns.
An impressive specimen of ‘Monoplex parthenopeus’ with about 160mm and beautiful periostracum. Duro found it alive only at -2m deep!
Luria lurida and Naria spurca selection.
Conus ventricosus with giant size and freak forms.
Interesting landsnails species, mostly from Clausiliidae family.
Box with Helicigona pouzolzii (Helicidae) specimens that Duro collected for many years.
Exceptional orange specimen of Manupecten pesfelis that we found diving about 35 meters deep.
